#GoodNewsBrighton is back!

How has 2018 been going so far at your workplace? At the Chamber we’re having a year of development – both in the team, in the membership, in the growth of our projects and in our approach to different aspects of our work. The Living Wage campaign has soared past 400 sign-ups and we are very excited to see this community of employers grow and strengthen as more and more make the pledge to pay a fair day’s wage for a fair day’s work.

When times are busy and lots is going on, it’s often easy to forget to pause and reflect on the good things that have been encountered and the successes – however big or small – that have been achieved. At the end of last year we launched #GoodNewsBrighton – a Twitter campaign to celebrate the good news stories of all the diverse and interesting organisations who have signed up to the Brighton & Hove Living Wage. We had a fantastic response and we really enjoyed reading and sharing all the stories that came through, seeing us into 2018 with lots of positivity.

You can check out the posts on the hashtag here.

The good news from us is we’re kicking it off again this month! So if you are a Living Wage employer and you want to join in, all you need to do is send us a piece of good news from your team in the next two weeks. It doesn’t have to be groundbreaking. Perhaps you hosted a fantastic event, perhaps you fundraised for a local charity – or maybe you’ve finished a great project or just started a fresh one. Whatever it is, we want to hear about it!

Email over your news to Campaigns@businessinbrighton.org.uk along with a photo of your team and we’ll shout you out on social media using the hashtag #GoodNewsBrighton, so don’t forget to tell us your Twitter handle.

Send your submissions over to Bee before the end of September to make sure you get included in the campaign!

If you’re not yet a Living Wage employer but you want to be, you can sign up here, contact us for more information or head to the directory to see who else is on board.
