Black Sheep Utilities joined the Living Wage Foundation in 2018. The Living Wage campaign is an independent movement of businesses, organisations and people who believe a hard day’s work deserves a fair day’s pay. Employers choose to pay the real Living Wage on a voluntary basis - it provides an ethical benchmark for responsible pay.
The real Living Wage is calculated independently based on what people need to get by. We pay in excess of the Living Wage, we believe that our staff should earn a wage that meets the cost of living, not the government minimum.
As well as being accredited by the Living Wage Foundation, Black Sheep Utilities are accredited Silver by Investors in People. There is no doubt that these endorsements go hand in hand to demonstrate our commitment to our staff to make Black Sheep Utilities a great place to work.
