Parentskool CIC

Parentskool CIC is a not for profit organisation based in Sussex
offering support and antenatal classes. All profits are used to
further our social missions which include increasing breastfeeding
rates, reducing baby illnesses and death, improving couples
relationships, reducing the impact of maternal mental health and we
aim to offer free classes in deprived areas so that everyone gets the
same standard of education, not just those who can pay.

We are a supporter and advocate for many infant and maternal
well-being charities and support organisations; we are also a member
of the 1001 Critical Days APPG and a supporting organisation of the
70/30 Alliance to reduce child maltreatment.

Parentskool CIC began in June 2011 and was founded by Sarah Watkins.
Parentskool is a brand new breed of ‘tell it like it is’ antenatal
classes that prepare you for actually caring for a baby within the
first six months of life.

Why do you support the Living Wage?

"Parentskool is a social enterprise that puts people before profit. Signing up to the Living Wage Brighton Campaign is a logical step for any organisation that claims to be ethical in its treatment of its most valuable resources: the people who work for them. We are proud to be part of the campaign and encourage all organisations to sign up as well."
