Can you help us to make every week a Living Wage Week?

During Living Wage Week 2014, 35 new businesses, charities, social enterprises and public sector organisations signed up to the Brighton & Hove Living Wage Campaign. You can see the list of employers who have signed up here.

Latest TV created a video with some of our Living Wage employers and Melita Dennett of Radio Reverb discussed the benefits of the living wage on her Tuesday Live in Brighton show.

Living Wage employers were busy on Twitter, as well as writing blogs for our website. Please keep the conversation going on Twitter and Facebook – we would love to hear from you!

As part of the Living Wage Week activities, the new UK and London living wage rates for 2014/2015 were announced. The new UK rate is an increase of 20 pence to £7.85 per hour. Please note that apprentices and interns are exempt and Living Wage employers have until 1st April 2015 to implement the new rate.

176 businesses in Brighton & Hove have now signed up to the campaign. We want to build on this success and reach 200 sign ups in the new year.

Are you, or could you be, a Living Wage employer? If you already pay your employees the living wage – please sign up today. If not, could you be? It’s free to sign up and takes only a few minutes.

We would like to thank all of those who helped and supported the campaign during the week. But remember although Living Wage Week is over, the campaign isn’t. Let’s make every week a Living Wage Week!
