Good News Stories Monthly Roundup

In March we heard from Living Wage employers about what they had to shout about, and we couldn’t resist sharing some of the partnerships they’ve been forming.

We heard from Lloyd’s office last month to celebrate their partnership with the University of Sussex. Lloyd’s recruits its interns through Sussex’s Career Lab Summer Internship programme. The University funds living wage internships with them for 8 weeks and they’ve found the candidates to be excellent, with many going on to work for them.

Over at Buff Motion the team collaborated with UKTV to deliver a motion toolkit for their brand revamp of VOD service ‘UKTV Play’. They experimented with the look and feel for the package and delivered a collection of brand idents, transitions, logo animations, icon loops and animating typefaces.

And finally, a partnership between The Good Business Club and Plus Accounting made sense to them, with Victoria King, Marketing Manager of Plus accounting sharing what they wanted to achieve:

“We’ve been involved with The Good Business Club from its founding years. It was instantly very clear after one conversation that this was an organisation that matched our firm’s values and love of contributing to our city. This partnership felt like a natural next step for us.

Having engaged with the Club community for a few years, it became clear that there was a need we could fill in supporting good businesses when it came to their finances to ensure they were having an increased impact through their business. This partnership is a true win-win relationship for all involved and we are excited to unlock opportunities that will ensure the local community remains a vibrant place to live and work.”

This partnership has unlocked membership to the Club for 5 Sussex-based businesses that are looking to tackle the climate crisis through their business, enabling them to grow a community around their ventures that they can lean on to unlock their full impact potential.

Thank you to those Living Wage employers who shared their fantastic partnerships and Good News with the Living Wage Campaign!
