In this week’s three quick questions series, we’re talking to George Gibbens, Operations and Quality Manager at 5 Squirrels
5 Squirrels was founded in 2014 and based in Hove, East Sussex. We are skincare formulators and manufacturers specialising in assisting healthcare professionals in medical aesthetics to develop, launch, and grow their own brand of skincare products.
We are a one-stop-shop solution that includes over 23 pre-formulated products, branding development, label design, regulatory compliance, and marketing support. All of our products are vegan-friendly, cruelty-free. 5 Squirrels is committed to empowering professionals to take control of their product offerings, ensuring high-quality, effective skincare solutions for their clients.
In May this year, 5 Squirrels was honoured to be named a Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2025 Winner. This recognition reflects our company’s outstanding workplace culture, commitment to employee wellbeing, and innovative approaches to work, such as implementing a four-day workweek. The award underscores the team’s dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive environment where every employee feels valued and empowered.
When we make the best place to work, it is the place to work.
5 Squirrels was founded to do things differently, and we wanted to make sure that all team members are fairly compensated for their contribution. It is fundamental to fostering a workplace where employees are engaged, take pride in their work, and share in the company’s success. By committing to the Living Wage, 5 Squirrels demonstrates its dedication to fairness and shared reward, for everyone and not just those at the top.
A big thank you to George from 5 Squirrels for sharing these insights – and, of course, for being a Living Wage employer!
