Kindling Restaurant is about more than just the food. Kindling is a community of people: staff, customers and suppliers; sharing and celebrating food and knowledge. We aim to make a difference by thinking big and acting small, we respect the food we serve and the planet we live on.
Our ethos comes through in thoughtful details; local suppliers, minimal waste, knowing where our meat and fish comes from and prioritising quality in our cooking and service.
The team behind Kindling Restaurant comprises of acclaimed Brighton restaurateurs Jane and Ramin Mostowfi and chefs Holly Taylor, Toby Geneen and Jake Ayliffe. Front of house will be headed up by Phillip Scott, formally of St. John Restaurant.
Their vision of doing dining better means higher quality, creative, fun, inclusive and sustainable - in a way that’s joyful and professional.
Why do you support the Living Wage?
Because we want to create a different culture where our staff feel valued as part of the Kindling Community and are paid a decent wage in exchange for being exceptional members of our team that care, feel valued and are proud to represent the Kindling values.
